This sophisticated rug will be handwoven by artisans who reside in a village just outside of Boujaad which is located within the Middle Atlas.
Made entirely by hand, knot by knot on artisanal looms, using 100% natural wool sourced from live sheep and dyed with organic spice pigments.
For custom rugs, we've worked with our artisans to determine a set payment per meter. considering the materials and time needed for each weave technique. Our final price ensures that 20% goes directly to the artisans.
As each rug is meticulously crafted by hand, slight variations in pattern, color, and size (up to 10 cm variation) are to be expected, reflecting the organic qualities of the materials used.

Origin
This rug is handwoven in the heart of the Beni Ouarain tribe, in a village of the Middle Atlas mountains, where rug weaving is a primary activity for women alongside farming. Our final price ensures that 20% goes directly to the artisans.

Looking for a thick, shaggy rug? Our hand-knotted rugs feature 10,000 knots per square meter and a plush 2.5 cm pile height. If you want a different pile height, email us, and we will help customize it for you.
